(UPDATE) THE Department of Agriculture (DA) banned the importation of pigs from Singapore amid an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in that country.
Agriculture Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban issued Memorandum Order 20 imposing a temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products and by-products including pork meat, pig skin, porcine processed animal proteins and semen originating from Singapore.
