Inflation finally slowed in February, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Tuesday, easing to 8.6 percent from January's 14-year high of 8.7 percent and providing some breathing room in the fight against rising prices.
Still, monetary policy adjustments and other measures remain on the table as core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy items, rose to 7.8 percent from 7.4 percent a month earlier.
