Peso slips, PSEi rises ahead of inflation data

THE peso fell but the stock market gained some ground on Monday ahead of today's release of February inflation figures.

The currency weakened by 6 centavos to close at P54.88 against the dollar while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) added 15.75 points, or 0.24 percent, to end the day at 6,671.12.
