THE easing of vehicle franchising requirements will create more jobs and plug supply gaps, transport networking vehicle service (TNVS) groups said on Monday.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) last week announced that it would no longer require a certificate of conformity (CoC) in order to secure a franchise — a requirement determined as a "frequent cause of delay or dismissal of applications."
