While American imports Darryl Monroe and Omari Spellman came up with big numbers, Filipino import Rhenz Abando contributed his own share in helping Anyang KGC capture the East Asia Super League Champions Week title via its 90-84 triumph over Seoul SK Knights in the all-Korean team Final match Sunday evening at the Okinawa Arena in Japan.
The 24-year-old Abando fired 11 points, making five-of-nine from the floor, to go along with two rebounds and the same number of assists as the former Letran Knight earned his first pro basketball crown since signing a deal with Anyang in time for the Korean Basketball League's 2022-23 season.
