THE Covid-19 outbreak has changed people's lives significantly. The past three years have definitely created a shift in the way we live and in the way we do business. Majority of the population had to work from home while business owners had to find a way to keep going and adapt to the situation. Unfortunately, many businesses had to shut down because they didn't have the resources to sustain themselves or were not successful in embracing the new normal. For those who did succeed, it was a constant struggle to find the right formula that would work for them in the current landscape.
Every challenge brings new opportunities, and the type of businesses that remained were able to pivot and were able to adjust by providing what their customers or clients needed during this unprecedented time. Most brick-and-mortar businesses had no choice but to go online and make use of the various platforms on the internet. E-commerce and social media became a necessity in running their businesses, and they also had to incorporate digital payment such as GCash and Maya. On top of all of this, they also had to switch their workforce to a virtual mode of work. The work-from-home setup, though it eliminated a lot of overhead costs, was no easy feat, especially for traditional companies who have been running things a certain way for many, many years.
