Public Attorney's Office Chief Persida Rueda-Acosta (center) condemns the hazing deaths of two students in a press conference on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Acosta said her office is preparing to file criminal charges against six suspects in the death of John Matthew Salilig, a Chemical Engineering student from Adamson University. She also revealed the death of another victim, Ronnel Baguio, a Marine Engineering student from the University of Cebu. She appealed to Congress to revisit the Anti-Hazing Law.
