COPENHAGEN: The Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen, one of Denmark's most iconic landmarks, was vandalized overnight with the Russian flag painted across the sculpture's base on Thursday.
The flag had been painted on the stone where the statue depicting the heroine of Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen's famous novel sits, an Agence France-Presse (AFP) journalist saw.
