LOCAL tobacco growers on Thursday backed the bill filed by Sen. Lito Lapid which aims to expand the coverage of Republic Act 10845 or the Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act of 2016 to include tobacco and tobacco products. The Philippine Tobacco Growers Association (PTGA) said that Senate Bill 1812 will protect millions of jobs and livelihood opportunities.
