ITOGON, Benguet: Indigenous peoples (IPs) from the municipality will get more benefits from the operation of the 140 megawatts Binga hydroelectric power plant after their council of elders signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the Sn Aboitiz Power (SNAP) Benguet for the operation of the renewable energy plant.
The MoA signing came after more than two years of negotiations between the company and the Itogon ancestral domain facilitated by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP).
