CHR condemns killing of village chief

THE Commission on Human Rights (CHR) said it is gravely alarmed by another violent attack against a public official in Lipa City, Batangas.

The CHR noted that the killing of San Carlos Barangay Captain Vivencio Palo is a recent addition to the already distressing series of violence against government officials in 2023. It called on government leaders, communities and individuals to come together in solidarity to denounce any attack on human life.
