President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the visit of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Philippines and Malaysia to rekindle an "old friendship and old bond" as both countries "work towards regional peace and prosperity."

Marcos renewed the Philippines' "strong and sincere" friendship with Malaysia during the dinner hosted for the visiting Malaysian leader in Malacañang Wednesday.
