BANK lending and money supply growth eased in January as higher interest rate hikes affected demand for credit.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) late on Tuesday reported that based on preliminary data, outstanding loans of universal and commercial banks, net of reverse repurchase placements with the central bank, expanded by a slower 10.4 percent from December's 13.7 percent.
