P8.3B projected from durian sale to China

THE Philippines may be able to generate $150 million (about P8.3 billion) from the initial shipment of durian to China this month.

During a Laging Handa public briefing, Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) Director Officer in Charge Gerald Glenn Panganiban said the target revenue is still subject to the actual production from durian-producing areas. The BPI is an agency under the Department of Agriculture.
