Allow WPS gas, oil exploration

IN a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange last week, the Manny V. Pangilinan-led PXP Energy Corp. said that it had formally requested that the government lift the moratorium on the company's gas and oil exploration activities near the Recto Bank (Reed Bank) in the West Philippine Sea (WPS). We believe that there is more economic and geopolitical harm in keeping the moratorium in place, and that the government should indeed allow the company to resume its work.
