Alternative Vision Cinema and Noble Wolf's drama-thriller "Pieta" has assembled a casting coup of the finest actors of Philippine cinema led by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Nora Aunor.
The showbiz superstar and Cairo International Film Festival Best Actress plays Rebecca in this cautionary tale of a mother and son searching for truth. The film sees Rebecca battling her waning eyesight and Alzheimer's disease when she meets her son Isaac, who is released from prison after 25 years for killing his father. Multi-awarded actor, producer and three-time Gawad Urian nominee Alfred Vargas plays this pivotal role.
As he goes home to his mother, Isaac demands to know the truth about his father's death, believing he was wrongly accused. Sadly, Rebecca, who is the key to his search, hardly recognizes him nor remembers what happened in the past.
