'Thank you very much for joining us this evening when I'm very, very nervous, dahil kasi po biruan lamang ang unang sine, ang 'Maid in Malacañang,' pumatok. I hope you enjoy this movie. — Sen. Imee Marcos'
Monday night saw a mammoth attendance at the grand and glittering premiere of Daryl Yap's much-awaited movie, 'Martyr or Murderer' — the sequel to the controversial 2022 blockbuster hit 'Maid in Malacañang,' which retold the story of the Marcos family's last three days in the palace before they fled the country following the 1986 People Power Revolution.
Preceded by a Moroccan-themed cocktail set up at SM The Block's cinemas, the event and the film were all Sen. Imee Marcos', owning it in her speech as she acknowledged, 'Ito ay medyo malungkot na bahagi ng aking buhay.'
