University of the Philippines outlasted defending, nine-time champion Adamson University in a match that lasted for 11 innings, taking a 3-2 walkoff victory in the UAAP Season 85 softball tournament at UP Diliman Baseball Field.
Entering the contest, both the Fighting Maroons and the Lady Falcons were sporting 3-0 records. And it was a war of attrition for both sides, raring to end the first round with a prisine slate.
