Mejia named president of World Maritime University

A FORMER Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) administrator and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) commander has been selected as president of the World Maritime University (WMU) based in Malmö, Sweden.

Professor Maximo Mejia Jr. was selected by International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General and WMU Chancellor Kitack Lim to succeed Dr. Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry.
