THE dilly-dallying tactics employed by the US and NATO in meeting the contingency betrayed how utterly unready they were to meet the Russian attack head-on. Sanctions were about the only countermeasure the duo could muster, coupled with pledges of supply of war materials such as tanks and ammunition that until now are yet to come. Indeed, quite sad that, as per experts' estimates, the degree of punishment by Russia is now visibly pointing to an imminent total dissolution of the Ukrainian state.
