Ex-PH Coast Guard commander tapped to head World Maritime University

A former Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) administrator and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) commander has been selected as the new president of the World Maritime University (WMU), based in Malmö, Sweden.

Professor Maximo Mejia Jr. was chosen by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General and WMU Chancellor Kitack Lim to succeed Dr. Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry.
