PCC increases merger notification thresholds

Thresholds for compulsory merger and acquisition (M&A) notifications have been raised by the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC).

Beginning next month, M&As worth more than P2.9 billion and where the size of the parent firm of either transacting entity is over P7 billion will have to be cleared with the anti-trust body.
