MRC Allied looking to diversify into ICT

Holding firm MRC Allied, Inc. will be investing in information and communications technology (ICT) companies using the proceeds of a private placement.

In a disclosure on Thursday, MRC Allied said its board of directors had approved resolutions to 'invest in companies engaged' in the ICT business and authorize its president and CEO, Augusto M. Cosio, to negotiate such investments.
