Observe Lent with sincerity, Catholics challenged

CATHOLICS on Ash Wednesday were challenged to observe the Lent season with sincerity and pure intentions.

Cardinal Jose Advincula of the Archdiocese of Manila said the traditional disciplines of prayer, fasting and charity are not intended to be empty but to draw people closer to God and to a life lived out of faith.
