'Ako Si Ninoy' opens ahead of Marcos film 'Martyr or Murderer'

THE musical film 'Ako si Ninoy' opened in cinemas on Wednesday, exactly a week ahead of the Marcos film, 'Martyr or Murderer' which will premiere on March 1.

Despite its title, the Vincent Tañada-directed movie is not a biopic of the late senator Benigno Simeon 'Ninoy' Aquino, Jr. but features 11 ordinary Filipinos whose lives resonated with that of Aquino.
