THE peso slipped anew, and the stock market fell below 6,700 as worries over interest rate hikes and geopolitical developments heightened.
The currency weakened by nine-and-a-half centavos to P55.18 against the dollar while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) plunged by 101.73 points, or 1.50 percent, to close at 6,699.23.
