WE were raised as children at 79 Luna Street, Tuguegarao. At that time, it was far from being a city. Tuguegarao was simple. Life was simple. People were simple, and we were raised simply.
We did not wallow in luxury. Our parents saw to it that we had enough, and they made us realize that money is not picked from trees and that it comes only to those who are willing to work. We were fortunate to grow up with our grandparents.
