LEGAZPI CITY: The final and most critical stretch of the search and rescue operation was executed before dawn on Wednesday, the fifth day after a Cessna plane crashed near the crater of the restive Mayon Volcano in Albay on Saturday.
Rescuers described the slopy and rocky trail leading to the crash site as "tricky and dangerous" at 2,463 meters in elevation or 8,081 feet above sea level.
