PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved 19 projects as part of his administration's efforts to promote and advance the culture of innovation in the country, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan said Tuesday.

Marcos heads the National Innovation Council (NIC), a 25-member body tasked to develop the country's innovation goals, priorities and long-term national strategy. Balisacan, as NEDA chief, is the vice chairman.
