Former University of the Philippines stalwart Carl Tamayo has officially dropped out of the sixth window of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers on Monday.
"Tamayo begged off for Window 6," Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas executive director and spokesperson Sonny Barrios said, in confirming the latest news on Gilas, which is set to play against Lebanon this Friday, February 24, and Jordan on February 27. Both games will be held at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
