Hybrid education: The best of both worlds

MANY colleges and universities in the Philippines will start their second semester this week. Only a few have opted to continue with the online mode of teaching, which can be done through live sessions with the teacher (synchronous) or through recorded sessions, modules and activities (asynchronous). Most of them, especially the state colleges and universities, have followed the advisory of the Commission on Higher Education to go full blast with face-to-face learning.

Some private universities like Ateneo de Manila and San Beda have opted for hybrid education, one day of class done face-to-face, with the other done online. They seem to have the best of both worlds.
