CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: The Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) welcomed the congressional inquiry in aid of legislation sought by the three district representatives of Mindoro Island to look into the competitive selection process by the electric cooperative for the 41-megawatt power supply agreement it opened for bidding this year.
In a message to The Manila Times on February 18, Ormeco General Manager Engr. Humprey Dolor said that the three lawmakers are just doing their job in ensuring that the welfare of their respective constituents is safeguarded "just like what we in Ormeco is doing ours and deciding according to our mandate and policy for the best interest of our member-consumers-owners."
