BIR, DOJ build stronger ties for tighter tax law enforcement

BUREAU of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. had a meeting with Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on February 16, 2023 at the office of the DOJ chief in Manila City to establish stronger ties.

This comes after the nationwide filing of 74 criminal complaints for tax evasion amounting to P3.58 billion of the BIR before the DOJ last February 2, 2023.
