'WE have made it clearer and clearer that NATO's further eastward movement is unacceptable,' declared Russian President Vladimir Putin about the 'special military operation' by which he calls the Russian attack on Ukraine. 'What is incomprehensible here? Are we placing missiles near the borders of the United States? No. It is the United States with its missiles that came to our house. They are already on the doorsteps of our house.'
