BACOLOD CITY: A former board member of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) described the agency's approval of the importation of 440,000 metric tons (MT) of sugar this year as "wrong timing."

Negros Occidental Fifth District Rep. Emilio Yulo, in an interview with RMN Bacolod, said the milling season started in August and September last year so "supply of sugar is enough for nine months."
