Seismologists on Friday warned residents in Masbate to be vigilant against landslides and aftershocks following the magnitude 6.0 earthquake that jolted the province Thursday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said areas adjacent to active river channels and coasts may be vulnerable to inundation of seawater due to the combination of liquefaction-induced sinking and changes in sea levels.
