Medalla: Reserve requirement could be cut in first half

At 12 percent, the Philippines' reserve requirement ratio (RRR) is the highest in the region.

In a briefing where he announced that the Monetary Board had raised the BSP policy rate by another 50 basis points to 6.0 percent, Medalla said an RRR cut could happen once monetary authorities were done with policy rate hikes.
