Shortly after new import Greg Smith II joined the team's practice, Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao told the American that while foreign reinforcements do the heavy lifting in the PBA Governors' Cup, it is imperative to involve the locals for the team to have a better chance of winning.

Smith took Guiao's advice to heart during his PBA debut last Sunday, churning out 38 points, six rebounds, five assists and a steal as he led ROS to a 122-117 win over the fast-fading Blackwater side.
