(UPDATED) THE Public Attorney's Office (PAO) slammed Rafael Ragos, former acting chief of the Bureau of Corrections (Bucor), for claiming that he was forced by the agency's lawyers to make false allegations against detained ex-senator Leila de Lima.
"Such false claim, which is not based on the official records of the case, is but a vain and desperate attempt to disparage the reputation of the PAO and to muddle the issues involved in the subject criminal cases," PAO said in a statement sent to The Manila Times Saturday.
