Amando Doronila: The man behind the byline

HOW often does someone turn 95 and launch Part 2 of his memoirs, encapsulating a rich and encompassing career, covering Asia's transition from countries still struggling to shake off colonial vestiges to nations leaping into a vibrant millennial tech-driven age.

Amando Ermitano Doronila of Dumangas, Iloilo did just that last Feb. 6, 2023, with the debut of his 273-page DORO: Behind the Byline, published by The University of the Philippines Press, at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra.
