The 2021 Countryside Bank Survey, released on Thursday, reported that at least 76 percent of the respondent banks had planned on expanding their agricultural loan portfolio.
Among the surveyed banks, thrift banks have shown more interest in lending with 93 percent followed by 87 percent of government-owned banks, and 72 percent of rural and cooperative banks.
