GOVERNMENT forces have thwarted attempted bombing plots by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) with an artillery offensive that left three extremists dead and one captured in Maguindanao del Sur province, military officials reported on Wednesday.
Lt. Col. Benjamin Cadiente, Philippine Army 33rd Infantry Battalion commander, said the operation was directed at a BIFF lair in remote Liab village, Mamasapano town, Maguindanao del Sur.
