PH Coast Guard surveys impact of oil spill off Batangas port

THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is assessing the impact of an oil spill caused by a tugboat that submerged on Wednesday off Subukin Port in San Juan, Batangas.

Initial shoreline assessment conducted by the PCG Marine Environmental Protection Group-Batangas on Thursday afternoon determined that oil scattered to approximately 300 square meters wide within the vicinity of the port.
