'Sri Lanka bankrupt until 2026'

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka would remain bankrupt for at least three more years, President Ranil Wickremesinghe said on Wednesday as he works to repair battered government finances following an unprecedented economic crisis.

The former prime minister took office last year at the peak of national unrest sparked by months of food, fuel and drug shortages.
