THE Department of Agriculture (DA) conducted training on cacao fermentation, drying and bean grading in Kabacan, North Cotabato in an effort to boost the country's production of the crop.
According to the DA, the country's cacao sufficiency level is only estimated at 25 percent. The huge demand-supply gap opens opportunities for cacao production to support the needs of consumers of chocolate products and the processors of the crop.
