MAERSK said port congestion is causing ships to wait longer for berths in China, and to some extent in the Philippines, but assured clients that it has made scheduled recovery plans to protect the reliability of future voyages.

Maersk, an integrated logistics company working to connect and simplify its customers' supply chains is monitoring the situation. It said capacity rationalization was planned for intra-Asia from the end-January to early February to balance slack demand. All product coverage will be maintained through alternative routings.
