PH bags bronze in Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities

National Master Darry Bernardo scored the match-saving victory in the final round and towed Team Philippines to a third place finish in the FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities that concluded on Saturday (Philippine time) at the Belgrade's Crown Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia.

Bernardo won over Kumar Naveen after a marathon 79 moves of their Caro-Kann duel on board 4 as the Philippines forged a 2-2 draw against India on Saturday.
