CONCEPCION, Tarlac: A new municipal hall building for the local government of Concepcion in Tarlac will soon rise in Barangay Alfonso, a priority project under the leadership of Mayor Noel Villanueva.
In a statement, Villanueva said the new municipal hall will have a simple design that is functional and durable.
'The main project of this administration is to establish the new municipal hall in Alfonso. It will not be for decoration. It will be functional and durable,' the mayor said.
'There will be no tiles for easy cleaning ... an industrial design for easy repair,' Villanueva added.
The new municipal building will have a floor area of 15,000 square meters and will cost P200 million.
'We will ensure the right value engineering. It will be zero-graft, so it is possible — no SOP, no tariffs. All government funds will go there within the bounds of the budget,' Villanueva stressed.
The existing municipal building of Concepcion was built in 1929. It will be converted into a museum when the new municipal building has been completed.
Meanwhile, the local chief executive is urging all municipal employees to provide services to their constituents with integrity and honesty.
'If I see profanity toward my people, I will not tolerate it. It causes distrust of the government. Our mandate is to serve our fellowmen,' he added.
