SOFT drinks manufacturers are lobbying the Department of Agriculture (DA) to get 50 percent of the 450,0000 metric tons (MT) of sugar that the government will import this year.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. authorized the importation of the sweeteners to ensure a two-month buffer stock, a source from the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) said.
