Widespread rains triggered by low pressure areas and the northeast monsoon since January 2 this year had so far wrought P1-billion damage on the agriculture sector, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.
In its report on Monday, the NDRRMC said P1.059 billion in production loss was recorded in Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, General Santos City) and Caraga.
